We had a comms room that was totally overrun with wires and had really gotten out of control and potentially dangerous, so we needed to have a complete rework of the room to tidy up all the wires, leads and the actual comms cabinet.
Alex was really helpful and undertook it out of hours for us to minimise disruption, so started late on Friday and worked into Saturday, and was back on site on Monday to check all systems were working for us. – which all were.

For some, calmness and serenity come from a walk in a forest, hiking in the hills or listening to waves gently lapping on the shore.
For us, it’s a tidy cabinet!
So, our Projects Engineer, Alex was a little perturbed when he encountered this at our clients, KPS.
It’s a not uncommon sight. You have a pressing business issue and changes are made to your hardware to get the result that you want right now. And then another issue crops up and more changes are made. And another and on and on.
Until a year or so later you have a spaghetti server.
But it doesn’t seem to matter because it’s hidden away (unless, of course, you subscribe to the Feng Shui principle that clutter, even when it’s hidden away, disrupts energy flow and focus).
Until something stops working – and then it can have a real impact on your business as it takes longer to diagnose and fix faults.
Prevention being better and cheaper than cure, Alex has tamed the wires and restored the Qi (positive energy) flow.
This will ensure that KPS will have a smooth transition to Sharepoint in the coming months, when all these concerns will be a thing of the past.
