Service Desk Engineer

Jez joined Wessex IT in March 2024 as a Service Desk Engineer, but began his IT career in 2010 doing an IT apprenticeship, and received numerous Certificates of Excellence from Microsoft. Jez joined an MSP in Redhill and worked there for 13 years, starting out as their very first employee and watching the company grow to 17 people.

Jez has had many exciting experiences and opportunities, such as looking after a vehicle repair customer with 25 sites all across the UK, and flying out to the Czech Republic after one of their customers moved there. He was instrumental in deploying new check-in infrastructure for a cruise operator; this included deployments in Southampton and on-ship support time, which saw him travel all across the world!

Jez enjoys travelling; he wishes he could do more of it! When he’s not busy working, Jez loves a cruise holiday, and would happily go on them time and time again. Jez enjoys challenging himself on Gran Turismo to get the perfect racing lines, and is also a big fan of the Star Wars galaxies and Lord of the Rings worlds and realms. Jez is mainly kept busy with his demanding bossy loud  wonderful 2-year-old daughter.

At Wessex IT, Jez is really looking forward to learning new products and services in a different tech stack, as well as meeting new customers and people.
