Of course, we all know that one of the biggest most recent challenges we have faced over the last 18 months has been the pandemic – and the impact it has on business. We have had many a client asking how they can keep their business moving in a world where we can’t always be in the same room together.


One of the biggest challenges clients initially faced was how can they quickly enable their staff to either work from home or from different sites.


At Wessex IT we already had plenty of experience in supporting a flexible workforce, and one of our clients is a great example of what we could also achieve with you.

Scope, a pharmaceutical company best known for its range of innovative eyecare products, approached us in 2011, initially to repair one of their laptops.

It was during this meeting that the Wessex team could see that this company was able to achieve great things, but in order to do so it would need the IT infrastructure to support it. The company was growing fast but the current IT infrastructure could not keep up with them. Simple problems like sharing files between their London and Dublin offices were cumbersome and unreliable – and this is where Wessex IT stepped in.


So, one thing led to another…

…and over the past 10 years of working with Scope, we have aided them in expanding their business into the US, provided private and hybrid cloud server infrastructures, office relocations and new employee training seminars.

Scope provides a great example of a highly mobile workforce that needed to be able to access their systems 24/7 and over multiple locations. Over the past 18 months this has become more and more important and with a possible difficult winter ahead of us all it is as important as ever to remain connected to one and other.
