Start with a Teams Meeting Recording and Transcript:
- Ensure your meeting is conducted in Microsoft Teams with transcription enabled.
- Once the meeting ends, the transcript and recording will be available in Microsoft Teams or Outlook.
Access Copilot in Microsoft 365:
- Open Microsoft Teams, Outlook, or Word—wherever you manage meeting content.
- Use Copilot by clicking the Copilot icon or typing a prompt in the command field.
Ask for a Meeting Summary:
- Use a prompt like: “Summarize the key points from the [Meeting Name] held on [Date].”
- Copilot will analyze the transcript and highlight the main discussion topics, decisions made, and any important insights.
Generate Action Items:
- Prompt Copilot with: “List the action items from this meeting and assign them to the relevant participants.”
- Copilot will extract tasks, match them with the people mentioned during the meeting, and present them in a checklist or table.
Refine and Distribute:
- Review the summary and action items for accuracy.
- You can ask Copilot to format the output into an email, Teams post, or Word document: “Create an email summarizing the meeting and action items for each participant.”
Follow Up:
Use the action points generated to track progress in Microsoft Planner or To Do by assigning tasks to individuals.
By leveraging Copilot, you save time on manual note-taking and ensure clear accountability after every meeting.
